Colombia’s accession to the OECD
OECD - Colombia’s accession (28 Apr. 2020)
France, depositary of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), received Colombia’s instrument of accession yesterday; Colombia therefore becomes the 37th member of the OECD.
France is delighted to be able to count on Colombia as a new partner within the organization. We share the same goals: promoting public policies that foster prosperity, equal opportunities, and the well-being of all, by drawing on the shared experience of its members and key partners. The context of the Covid-19 pandemic and its economic and social consequences will make this international cooperation all the more necessary. The common values shared with Colombia, notably with respect to environmental protection and the promotion of multilateralism, can only serve to strengthen collaboration between our two countries within this forum.
